The highlight for our unit will take place on Wednesday, May 20, at L’Imprévu Café. We are proud to feature Delphine Burlet and Margherita Mori (Polo Team) for an exceptional evening (held in English) dedicated to DNA repair mechanisms and innovative therapeutic strategies against cancer.
- Where? L’Imprévu Café, 7-9 Rue Quincampoix, 75004 Paris.
- When? May 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
- Tickets: Book your seat here (Ticketing opens on April 13, 2026, at 8:00 AM).
A strong Unit presence behind the scenes
The success of the festival relies on incredible teamwork. We would like to specifically highlight the commitment of Angélique Amo and Jérémy Berthelet, members of our unit (Weitzman Team), who are serving as Event Managers for two key venues: L’Imprévu Café and Le Carlie.
Thanks to their coordination, you can also meet our daily colleagues from the BFA Unit (CNRS UMR 8251):
- At L’Imprévu Café (May 19): Nathalie Janel and Gautier Moroy for a session on Peptides and AI (in french).
- At Le Carlie (May 19): Hirac Gurden for a dive into the senses of smell and touch (in french).
A collective effort: Kudos to the UPCité Team!
This project is part of a wider collective dynamic within Université Paris Cité. A huge congratulations to the project coordinators: Valérie Drouet (Faculty of Science) — whom we are delighted to work with again as she was previously a member of our unit — and Mélodie Maillez (Faculty of Societies & Humanities).
We also want to congratulate the entire organizing team for their dedication: Isabel (Institut Jacques Monod), Dimitra, Hélène, Maëlys, Justine, Julie, Yuze, Lucile, Marie, and Zélie (Faculty of Science). Their hard work is the key to successful science outreach.

In this paper, we show that SETDB1 regulates the TGFβ-induced secretome and identify EMILIN1, an extracellular matrix protein, as a novel player in this process. EMILIN1 is overexpressed in muscle biopsies from DMD patients and influences both myogenic differentiation...
