Assistant Professor

jeremy.berthelet@parisepigenetics.com

After a Ph.D. in the team of Fernando Rodrigues-Lima at the BFA unit, Paris Diderot University (thesis defended in 2019), Jérémy Berthelet conducted ATER (Attaché Temporaire d’Enseignement et de Recherche) and post-doctoral work within the Plasticity of Cellular Phnotypes team (Weitzman group), Université Paris Cité, where he worked on both the Host-Parasite Interactions and SMYD / lysine methylation in cancer themes.

He was recruited as Maître de conférences on 1 September 2025 at Université Paris Cité. His research focuses on the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms by which parasites hijack host signaling pathways and on the role of lysine methylation (histone and non-histone) in cancer and cellular phenotype regulation.
