Julia obtained her Master’s degree from the European Master of Genetics program at Université Paris Cité in 2025. She joined Sophie Polo’s lab in January 2025 for her 2nd year Master’s internship and pursued with a PhD. Her project focuses on studying the dynamics of facultative heterochromatin marks in response to DNA double-strand breaks, and their functional relevance in repair pathway choice in the inactive X chromosome in female mammals.
