Pierre-Antoine is a former student of Ecole Normale Supérieure. He got his PhD with Yvan de Launoit and Dominique Stéhelin, characterizing a mammalian oncogenic transcription factor. He did a postdoc at MIT with Lenny Guarente, where he showed the involvement of SIR2 and FOB1 in yeast aging. He obtained a CNRS position with Eric Gilson at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, working on yeast and human insulator elements. He established his own lab in 2003, with the support of the CNRS ATIP program. Since then, the lab has been investigating epigenetic mechanisms that regulate gene expression. Pierre-Antoine teaches biology at Ecole Polytechnique ; he is also in charge of the Epigenomics Core Facility.
