Inés Beckerman is a 4th year PhD candidate in the laboratory of Dr. Manuel Muñoz at the Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology, Physiology and Neurosciences (IFIBYNE) at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Muñoz’s group investigates the cellular response to ultraviolet-induced DNA damage. In particular, Inés is studying the mechanism that regulates the proteasomal degradation of RNA polymerase II in response to DNA damage.
