Claire is a Research Director (DR1) at the CNRS. She joined the Epigenetics and Cell Fate Centre as a founding member in 2009 and is the Deputy Director of the center since 2019. Claire received her Ph.D. in 1996 from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, focusing on the genetic mapping of the region controlling X chromosome inactivation in mice and humans. She was recruited to the CNRS in 1999 after her post-doctoral studies at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, during which she investigated imprinted gene expression in Angelman Syndrome. She was awarded the Bronze and Silver Medals of the CNRS in 2007 and 2019, respectively. Claire is an EMBO member since 2016. She is also Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique, Université Paris-Saclay.
